"Broken hip and loss of confidence"

About: Lanarkshire Community Services / Occupational Therapy

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Following my broken hip I told the doctor I was gripping the walking stick and how frightened I was of falling again. My GP then suggested a visit from an Occupational Therapist might help.

It was great to have someone to talk to who listened to my fears. I was provided with exercises to improve my strength and balance to help build up my confidence again, as I can't believe how easy it happened.

I found Anna very helpful, she also advised about classes. But I am happy to continue with the exercises for now and if I need this later on I can give it a go.
