"I have taken with me happy memories to remember the rest of my life"

About: Edgware Community Hospital / Neurological Rehabilitation Centre

(as the patient),

Had a stroke which affected the movement on my right side. When I arrived at the NRC in Edgware Community Hospital I could not move my fingers or toes. I was wheelchair bound with a blue arm support.

Had a great time here with support from the whole staff, from cleaners to the doctors. They showed me kindness and respect throughout my stay. The physio team were brilliant in the gym, never give up was their motto, always try your best.

Now I can walk with a four prong stick and move all my fingers. Sorry to leave but I have taken with me happy memories to remember the rest of my life.

Dear charlieqz89,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of the NRC, it is always wonderful to hear stories of recovery post stroke, and that the care and support you received during your time at the NRC made this possible.

We will share your feedback with the whole time, wishing you all the very best in the future as part of your on going recovery and rehab journey now that you are back home.

Kind regards

The NRC Team
