Admitted to A&E after a fall. A very busy weekday evening so the wait was long. Treatment was efficient and kind, ascertaining that I had a broken hip. A bed in Ward 21 was available and I was received quietly and sympathetically at 3a.m.

I had surgery for a new hip and could not fault the care/ treatment I received from every member of staff. They are all sweethearts, from Mr.Sharma the surgeon, doctors, nurses, auxiliaries, porters, domestics, cleaning staff and tea ladies. The food is good, with choices available. I have no complaints,  only praise for hard working staff in often difficult circumstances. I witnessed many acts of kindness despite pressure of work. I commend the quality of care both in A & E and in ward 21. Physios and OTs were very helpful and reassuring, giving confidence for going home.
