"A pain free, much quicker procedure"

I have suffered with an overactive bladder with constant leakage.  I have been lucky enough to have come in contact with Miss Lone and team.  I now have 6 monthly Botox injections which have been done under general anaesthetic in a theatre.  

About 12 months ago I was offered the same procedure but without the anaesthetic.  This I found extremely painful and uncomfortable.  There were lots of staff in the theatre setting, which made it very embarrassing lying awake with my legs up in stirrups.  I decided never again …

During my last appointment with Miss Lone I was offered an appointment once again awake but this time in the outpatients department.  My initial response was absolutely no way, but Miss Lone explained the benefits and promised a pain free, much quicker procedure.

Today I had my procedure done at Treliske outpatient department and I cannot express how pleased I am that I did.  No extra pain relief was needed.  I was back in my car within 2hrs and on my way home.  Brilliant 🤩

I am sorry to read you were experiencing issues with your bladder and that your experience within the theatre 12 months ago was painful and uncomfortable. However, I am pleased to read that your most recent procedure went smoothly, that it was pain free and you were happy with the results of this appointment. I am glad you had the support and reassurance from Miss Lone and that you were able to travel home within a couple of hours after the procedure.

It is great to read your recent experience was brilliant and I will be delighted to forward your feedback onto the team for their attention and that Miss Lone will receive a special thanks through the learning from excellence.
