I was admitted to Ward D10 at QMC for 3 days.
The care I received was brilliant. All the staff, from the health care assistants to the doctors were warm, friendly, caring and lovely. I would like to give my particular thanks to nurses Jo and Julie, who were so kind to me it made me want to cry. They were really compassionate, nothing was too much trouble.
Despite them being very busy caring for other patients that were a lot more poorly than me, they couldn't have done more for me, and they did it all with a sense of humour, and treated me like a person rather than just a patient.
The doctor in A + E was incredibly kind too and the care couldn't have been better from everyone I encountered. The neurology doctors were all incredibly nice. I was particularly touched by the anaesthetist coming to see me on the ward after my procedure to see if I was okay.
I feel a lot lot better now, and I am very grateful. It's not very nice going in to hospital, but everyone I encountered at QMC made it as pleasant as possible.
Thank you!
