About: Allied Health Professionals (Occupational Therapy, Physio, Dietetics, Speech & Language, Enhanced Intermediate Care) / Physiotherapy General practices in Ayrshire & Arran

(as a carer),

We contacted our GP at Brooksby Medical and Resource Centre, who organised for Claire (TI) from Physiotherapy in Largs to call out to my Uncle’s home to assess and assist with his ongoing mobility issues.

Claire was excellent from the start - she is so upbeat and friendly and my uncle immediately warmed to her and trusted her. She took time to understand his personal circumstances and daily challenges and she provided ongoing support over a period of time - this included assessments for each of the items of equipment supplied to ensure these were fit for purpose and suited to my uncle’s needs/capability.

As my uncle has memory issues, with his approval, she was able to deal with me directly in terms of organising visit times, which was extremely helpful. In all of our dealings with Claire we found her to be extremely personable, reliable, helpful, professional and caring and we are extremely grateful for her support.
