"The inefficiencies are frightening"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital / Accident and emergency Medway Maritime Hospital / Ear, Nose and Throat

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter was taken to A&E with suspected appendicitis and was not triaged for 4 hours.

We are then sent onto a different department who after another few hours tells us the on-call doctor is not picking up their calls.

We are then sent to the ENT Ward to see a junior doctor who tells us they don't understand why the prescribed medication has not been given as they instructed! The doctor tells us they will sort it.

This was nearly 2 hours ago and now I am informed the doctor has gone home but the nurses are preparing my daughter's treatment now. Still no sign of anything.....

In our experience, the inefficiencies are frightening. 10 hours since we got to Medway Hosp and we are still waiting. What a mess.
