"Planned c-section"

About: Maternity care / Perinatal Mental Health Midwives

(as the patient),

I had a planned c-section in august after a traumatic birth and emergency c-section in 2019

The planned team were amazing! My midwife and MCA were the most lovely people who really made us feel so relaxed and made sure my partner had a great experience too. We were looked after amazingly start to finish and really changed my opinion about the maternity unit due to previous visit.

The drs, midwives and MCA’s were all wonderful people who really helped us have some closure and supported us so well and brought our baby safely into the world to be with his sibling.  Thankyou 💙

I was guided through my pregnancy by the perinatal mental health team also. Marianne and Beth are so kind and both really supported me in all my decisions and helped me to come to terms with my previous birth and let me say everything I’ve always needed to. I don’t know how I would have coped without either of then, Thankyou Both!

Hi Sally,

Thank you for taking the time to post a very personal and candid experience.

We are pleased that you have been given the support from all the staff involved in the care of you and your family. Having the information required to make an informed decision, being listened to and in control of your care is so important in creating a positive experience. We are pleased that this has been your experience of our services.

We are extremely proud of the addition to our services within NHS Fife of the Perinatal Mental Health Team. The team has grown from strength to strength since its addition to our services in late 2019.It is important to us here at NHS Fife to provide services that meet the needs of the women in which we serve.

Thank you for your appreciation. We will ensure your kind words are shared.

Best Wishes

Pamela Higgins Clinical inpatient Midwifery Manager
