I have a district nurse comes to visit me weekly - her name is Sophie, I am 83. Two months ago I got up very early about 6am as i needed to use the toilet, I decided at the time to open a window as I was a bit warm. Well I had a fall and couldn't move or get up, I didn't know it at the time but I had broken my shoulder and was a bit battered and bruised. I laid there for about 8 hours when i heard someone near the door so I began shouting for help asking for an ambulance. It was Sophie, she rang Alice at the Archers Centre who also came up and she climbed in through the window and sat with me until the ambulance came and took me to hospital. I was in the hospital for 4 weeks. I lost my husband two years ago and the year after I lost my oldest daughter so it has been a bit of a tough time but I wanted to let the ladies know how much i appreciated their kindness and help to get me through everything.
"My appreciation"
