"A & E Dr Grays Hospital Elgin."

About: Dr Gray's Hospital / Emergency Medicine

(as the patient),

I fell in a wood near Elgin and immediately felt excruciating pain in my shoulder.

My husband was with me and with his aid I eventually managed to walk back to our car. He took me to the A&E department at Dr Grays hospital in Elgin. As we could not park beside the A&E department because of yellow lines we had to park in the main carpark. He went to A&E to get a wheelchair and with it he took me into the department. I was in agony and had to wait a short while to be triaged. From that point on the care I received was beyond superb. I was rapidly X-rayed and a dislocated shoulder was diagnosed. I was rapidly given pain relief and the doctor on duty (Dr Ali), with the aid of members of the nursing team, quickly restored my shoulder to its original position. The relief was overwhelming. The care I received was excellent. Throughout the procedure the professionalism and calm reassurance exhibited by all members of the team was exceptional. I am so grateful that we have this much needed facility in Moray.

Dear malt47

Many thanks for taking the time to provide feedback regarding your recent visit to the Emergency Department at Dr Gray's Hospital in Elgin, following your fall whilst out walking.
