"The staff were so friendly and put me at ease"

About: Maternity care / Maternity Assessment Unit

(as the patient),

I was taken into the labour ward late on a Saturday night to be assessed by triage with a suspected blood clot. I am 18 nearly 19 weeks pregnant with my first baby and understandably anxious.

Every single member of staff I encountered was so friendly and put me at ease. I was well informed and they were all so patient with my many many questions. I felt well looked after and that me and my baby were their main priority. They should be so very proud of how they conduct themselves I was so impressed. I’m only disappointed I can’t remember the names of the two midwives who were in charge of my care so I could name them personally. Thank you so much.

Dear Kirstycx23

Thank you for sharing such kind and positive feedback regarding your recent experience in maternity triage. This will be shared with our triage team so your gratitude for the friendly manner in which you were cared for will be communicated.

It is heartwarming to hear such positive feedback as the midwifery teams and our obstetric colleagues work so hard to ensure women are informed/reassured across all points of their care journey and treated in the manner you so positively describe.

Thank you and best wishes,

Lee-Anne
