The previous time I received Botox in my bladder was the first time that I had the procedure without general anesthesia. I was a little anxious about getting the procedure done without GA but surprisingly found receiving the procedure this way much better. The administration of the Botox was not painful only a little uncomfortable, and the staff did an excellent job during the entire procedure explaining what and when things were happening, making me feel at ease and relaxed, which I really appreciated. Another benefit I experienced was that there was no additional grogginess from not receiving the anesthesia during the procedure, which also made the procedure a lot quicker. I would recommend to any patient receiving this procedure to receive it without sedation.
