"Accident"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Minor Injuries Unit

(as the patient),

I had an accident & attended minor injuries unit.

Sprained my right ankle and damaged my ligaments in both hands.

Careless Receptionist took my details and told me to wait. I waited over an hour. Clinic emptied but nobody called me in. Luckily a nurse spotted me and told me i wasnt even booked to be seen. She took me in straightaway for examination or I'd be left sitting there all night.

I was initially seen by a senior doctor who was caring and pleasant who then left.
Dr then took over and mistreated me throughout the examination.
They were  judgemental rude and disrespectful. I explained i had scans pending prior to accident as the area is already needing further investigation and worsened post accident so its imperative i get the areas examined via xrays etc. They had a mocking tone and refused to provide me the xrays, care and respect despite my politeness and painful condition. They dismissed me and tried to suggest nothings wrong and sent me home. I pleaded for help and she manhandle the areas of injury.
Few days later i received notification i have further fractures to the areas and require immediate attention and possible surgery which was previously dismissed. I feel the Dr was ignorant and neglectful. I was treated with zero dignity care or respect. I've never come across such vile treatment from nhs staff.
