(as a service user),

I was addicted to alcohol for around a year and a half and I ended up in hospital which is the reason I wanted and need to get alcohol out of my life. My peer mentor was Kirsty and she was absolutely fantastic with me so much so we became more like friends. When I lapsed a bit ago Kirsty was the only one to check on me or we did video calls I couldn't have asked for a more fantastic peer mentor and I am going to miss going our meetings.

I would recommend this service and Kirsty to anyone who is in the same situation I was. And now with the help of ReNew and Kirsty, I am in a much better place. I have just got a part time job and I will be doing my driving lessons at the end of October. I couldn’t have done this without ReNew and especially Kirsty, so thank you so much.

Holistically supporting adult service users to initiate recovery from drug and/or alcohol dependence; empowering Service Users to build their own recovery capital and supporting them to move into long term sustained recovery and social (re) integration. It is my responsibility to co-ordinate the work and development of all Pathways to Recovery through Peer Mentors and provide a point of liaison for Service Users and their feedback.
