"Poor practice"

About: Hollies Medical Centre

Review: I came to see the Physician Associate on 1 August about the Menopause. I was told to book an appointment for fitting a mirena with the Nurse. When I tried to do this the rude receptionist told me I couldn't do that as I had to have a review with the Nurse first. The first appointment with the nurse was 21 September. This was then cancelled as the Nurse was off. It was rescheduled to 25 September - today. You are never ever given a call time. The nurse called twice only before 12 - I was in an urgent client meetings. On then spending 45 mins trying to get through to the surgery I was then told the next nurse appointment is November. It will be 4 months from when I first came in to see the practitioner who told me it would be fine to have a mirena fitted - 4 months where I need help and your processes don't help patients. The Nurse will then no doubt tell me I need to make yet another separate appointment for the fitting. Your nurse only calls twice (your policy) then a patient has to start again. The service is absolutely abysmal. It is designed to suit the practice, not its patients and at every turn barriers are put up. If I treated my clients like that I would be bankrupt, but you get away with it.
