"Sons hospital visit."

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Paediatrics wards (19 & 20)

(as a parent/guardian),

My son had been rushed into hospital with breathing problems due to an infection. He ended up in ward 20 children's ward of Wishaw General hospital. The nurses are real angels the way they deal with the kids , there is a volunteer lady who works Saturdays to help with toys for the kids and you can tell she loves the kids and has a good heart. The doctor we saw in late September 23 .. He wore a dark purple shirt was great , asked all the right questions to Mum and myself and didn't want to leave anything out. He spoke directly and asked us what we know about how our sons treatment is going here, Which I loved . All staff on the ward are obviously smart enough to get higher paying jobs but it takes real angels to work in the children's ward .. Many thanks to them , the doctor and the volunteer for making our experience as pleasant as it could have been .

Hi Andrew724,

Thanks for taking the time to post your feedback on your son's admission to Ward 20. It is lovely to hear you had such a positive experience during your time on the ward and I will ensure your feedback is passed on the the nursing, medical and volunteer staff. I hope your son is recovering well at home and is feeling much better.
