"A simple, quick and reassuring process"

About: Regional AAA Screening Programme

(as a service user),

I was unaware of this screening process although I was aware of AAA as a medical issue for men. The letter and pamphlet was straightforward and very informative.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the screening officers travelled to my local hospital, which made attendance so much easier.

The screening was on time, quick and easy and the staff were really empathetic and friendly, making me feel very much at ease with the process. The rapid result was also reassuring, which I think is important even if the results are not favourable.

In all a simple, quick and reassuring process for me.

I must say it was frustrating for me to sit there and hear a number of people called before me, and non attendance. I think a process where the letter recipient would ring to confirm attendance might be worth consideration.
