Recently I had a colonoscopy and I started having bad bleeding with severe back and hip pain, tummy ache from a few hours after procedure. I took pain medication and tried to stay away from hospital or GP for a few days because the experience was traumatic .
After 3 days I could not bear the backache so I went to urgent care walk in centre but was told to go to emergency. I thought I would be getting better so I stayed home to rest and after 3 days I started having a huge amount of vaginal bleeding.
Called 111 yesterday and they said go to an emergency. I went to Aintree and was turned away at the door in the triage room. The doctor said go somewhere else without examining me or testing anything. I was struggling even to get out of the door and none of the 4 people in that room seemed to care. I am having morphine and have been bleeding really heavy for 5 days straight now and there is no one to help.
Aintree A&E staff were not under pressure. I am appalled because this was my first emergency visit in 16 years and I cannot believe they just told me to go when they saw I was dizzy and weak. I got out all alone and called a taxi who kindly took me home .
I am still bleeding and my back ache is bad but not sure where I can go for help .
"Turned away"
