"My dad was unwell"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Ayrshire Doctor on Call (ADOC) NHS 24 / NHS 24 (111 service)

(as a service user),

Dads carer phoned me in evening to say dad felt unwell, I came to stay and he had a difficult night, I phoned NHS 24 in the morning and although it was a long wait both people I spoke to were extremely helpful and kind.

They arranged a visit to out of hours doctor and dad was seen within 3 hours of my call.

I'm sorry to hear you dad was unwell and had a difficult night. I hope he is doing better. Thanks for sharing your experience of NHS 24 and the Out of Hours Service via Care Opinion.

I'm pleased to see our staff were helpful and kind. We recognise that people who have to call NHS 24 are normally concerned for their health or that of a loved one and our staff try hard to put callers at ease as much as possible. It would be good to share your story with the staff who managed your call. With some additional detail, I could do this. I'm sure the staff would be delighted to receive your feedback.
