I was referred for a knee replacement after a consultant at the nuffield confirmed using an xray concluded that was the only option. The referral was made in April.
Because of what seem to be a tottally illogical and lack of patient care patients have to make a totally unecessary appointment with MSK before the surgery can proceed.
I then received a letter from msk asking me to to contact them by telephone which I have done multiple times without any success.
On the first occassion I was given a recorded message stating that the staff were on a training day. On every other occassion the telephone connection was disconnected.
That is the worst patient experience possible and a disgrace.
The letter from MSK said if I did not contact for an appointment within 14 days my appointment would be cancelled. But what if that happened because of the MSK not responding to my calls.
I have sent an email to the wonderful pals team seeking their help. If all of the service had been as good as that team we might yet again have a good world class service.
"The worst patient experience"
