The all round care during my pregnancy, birth and post-birth have been fantastic. The Borders General Hospital Maternity Unit is an asset to the community, not forgetting the maternity community service - GP, nurses, midwife etc.
This was the birth of my second child, first birth via C-section. I was cared for expertly from beginning to end. I was grateful to see some familiar faces, the midwifes who delivered my first baby were present to deliver and care for my second.
The whole team at the BGH were incredible, they were caring, kind, respected my decisions through birth and kept me informed. I was a bit sad to leave the hospital, the care was so good, yet glad to get home and enjoy time with my family. I can't thank everyone who was involved me and my baby's care enough.
