We had our third baby last month under the care of community midwives in Gala and Borders General Hospital. The level of care at every point in our journey has been exceptional. Everyone from my wonderful community midwife, my consultant at the hospital, the diabetic team, and the fantastic midwife who looked after me in ward 16 - all were amazing, professional, kind, caring and thorough.I couldn’t fault any step of the journey. Even the lady who brought tea to the ward was so kind!
I had a planned c section in the end and the theatre team were also amazing and so reassuring. We made use of the “Thistle service” having had a previous traumatic experience which was so helpful. It meant our story was known and we didn’t have to keep going over it.
Thank you so much for bringing our baby safely into the world. We are extremely grateful to all of you for the excellent and very personal service you provide.
