"Definitely in the best hands in this team."

About: Mater Hospital / Macular Unit

(as a parent/guardian),

My son and I have  been receiving care from Mr Gupta in Mater hospital maculapothy dept over the last 18 months.  The standard of care from him has been exceptional and has eased many concerns over our changing conditions.

As a parent I was informed, reassured and included in every part of our care, which was very reassuring at a time we were dealing with  a lot of unknowns. Reception staff were welcoming, professional and very helpful, above and beyond. From accommodating appointments to signposting to other services to a wee biscuit when bloods were low lol.

Nursing staff were always there to give information, reassurance and a very high standard of care. Prof Lois who is also in charge of our care described simply, factually but in a very caring manner the care we would be having over the next few weeks.

We are reassured that we are definitely in the best hands in this team. Thank you for everything and no doubt we will see you again soon .

Dear Warrenpoint,

Thank you so much for sharing your story. It is great to hear that you feel the care given by the consultants, nursing and admin staff has been to such a high standard. I am so pleased you felt informed and reassured. This is what we continually strive for.

I will be delighted to pass your comments on to the teams and in particular Dr Gupta and Prof Lois.

We always appreciate when someone takes the time to feedback to the unit.

Kind Regards

Fionnuala
