"So kind and professional"

About: Ninewells Hospital / Accident & Emergency Ninewells Hospital / General Surgery Ninewells Hospital / Xrays and scans Paediatrics / Children's Ward 29

(as a parent/guardian),

My young son broke his wrist badly in 2 places recently. We attended A&E in Ninewells hospital and were seen straight away due to the severity of the break.

After only 90 minutes, my son was x-rayed, seen by the Orthopaedic team, a plan made for surgery the following morning, a temporary cast in place and transferred to ward 29.

All staff in A&E, x-ray, ward 29 and main suite theatres were fantastic! So kind and professional. I am a trained nurse myself, but it’s true what they say, it’s different when it’s your own, and everyone made us feel so informed and at ease in an unfamiliar situation.

Please pass on thanks to nurses Emma and Lesley on ward 29 and Mr Donoghue, Ortho registrar, for all their care and attention. Thankfully my son is on the mend. 😊
