"Excellent care"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / 23 Hour Unit ( Ward 1A)

(as a service user),

My daughter was admitted to ward 1A in the Queen Elizabeth children’s hospital for a trial of medication for her abdominal condition. We are hoping it helps her pain but regardless the staff in the ward were absolutely amazing. They are definitely working in the correct ward as they are lovely to the children (and parents). Meabh was in asking us what she could help us with constantly and laughed and joked with us. She asked our daughter things about her interests and raised her spirits doing this.

All of the staff were excellent, happy, lovely to the children (and parents) and made it as nice an experience as possible. Well done ward 1A. And thank you for looking after us so well.

Dear listenqm45

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback.

I hope your daughter is now recovering well at home and her pain is easing.

It is lovely to read the way in which you describe the staff as amazing, excellent and happy and I am delighted to hear that you felt that your daughter was very well looked after while under our care.

It means so much to our staff to know they are making a positive difference to the children and families in our care and I will ensure this fantastic feedback reaches them.

Many thanks

Emma McGinlay
