"Fantastic maternity care"

I recently had to go into Ayrshire Maternity Unit for 2 nights due to complications. The care I received was absolutely exceptional, world class. All staff were so compassionate, knowledgeable, and calm in difficult circumstances. Special thanks to the lovely midwives including Gemma and Genna who put me at ease and reassured me during assessment.

All the talented doctors including Cairn, the anaesthetic consultant, and Dr Silf who were all so skillful and compassionate and made me and my unborn baby feel incredibly safe despite the circumstances. The friendly and helpful catering and domestic staff, and just everyone I encountered in my short stay. I literally cannot praise the care I received highly enough, and feel very fortunate that my son will be born in this lovely safe clean skilled environment in a few short weeks.

Everyone I encountered made what could have been a really scary time much less so as I knew we were getting really well looked after. I also felt staff went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we felt okay. My wee family are beyond grateful for the care and compassion and skill shown to us over this admission but also my entire pregnancy, including from my wonderful community midwife Kelly who has been a tremendous compassionate support and source of knowledge throughout, and the staff at EPAS who guided us through tough times. Thank you all so much.
