About: Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick children / Day Care Unit (Knox Ward) Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick children / Paul Ward

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter went for planned procedure she was extremely anxious and staff in Knox Ward Royal Victoria for sick children Belfast were so caring, they also looked after me as a anxious mother and put me at ease. Special thanks to Joeanne from admin who got me a cuppa, Josephine who worked her magic settling my daughter before her procedure. After the procedure we went to Paul ward and her nurse was Rebecca who was fab also, special thanks to Gavin the Dr who done her surgery from ENT. I hope you get the recognition you deserve thank you all. 😊

Thank you for your very kind words of praise for our Teams in Knox Ward and Paul Ward along with our ENT medical staff. I have forwarded on your compliment to them and I am sure they will be as proud to receive your comments, as I am to read them.

We know hospital can be a really frightening place for children and parents, especially when you are coming for surgery, and definitely when you have to then stay overnight afterwards, in a ward with lots of people you don't know!

Like you, I am delighted to hear that your experience was good, but more so that your daughter wasn't too traumatised by the whole event and I sincerely hope she is recovering well from her procedure.
