In January, my grandfather who is in his late nineties became ill. We contacted our GP who organised Hospital at Home for us. We will be forever grateful to the team, not only for the care they gave Grandad but for the support they were to us as a family.
Everyone on the team was so good, but 2 people who stood out to us were Dr Irinie and the nurse Claire. These 2 ladies went above and beyond in keeping Grandad comfortable and answering our endless questions.
This service is 1 of a kind. Grandad never wanted to go to hospital, never mind die in hospital. Because of this service, we were able to fulfil Grandads wishes in keeping him comfortable at home to the very end.
We will never forget the care and compassion. Thank you Hospital at Home Team
