"ENT waiting for 8 months to be cancelled"

Hi I had appointment made for today and got cancelled 4 hrs before my appointment which I have been waiting since January 2023 for voice clinic to see if I need to go to speak therapy. I have now got on another waiting list without any knowing when the next appointment is. Was told on the phone if I went a normal list will I be waiting till feb next year.

Consultants cancelling appointments affects someone everyday life to even to communicate everyday that you struggle with having voice issues that covid took away 19 months.

I have only seen ENT once that was January 2023 to be put on waiting list when in the last 8 months I have been waiting to seen buy the voice clinic. People need to able to speak as a need and when you struggle everyday waiting to be seen for 8 months is not a duty of care of patients.

I haven't been diagnosed or been seen properly nobody really understands my voice issues, breathing problems, cant eat much and all you get told another waiting list.

Is their any other way trying speech therapy without waiting for ENT?
