"My cataract operation"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Newlyn Unit

(as the patient),

I attended Royal Cornwall hospital Treliske (Newlyn ward) for a cataract operation recently.

I have been there once before but unfortunately my op was cancelled.

Jackie met me (as before) and was again so good at putting us at ease. She did all the prerequisites for an op - gown, required medical info in a lovely manner.

The op went well and I thanked the surgeon (huge thankyou) and his team so much in putting me at ease. The nurse that prepared me for my op was so good and attentive. Unfortunately as I had to remove my hearing aids, I could not hear names of the team but everyone was wonderful. I really have to comment on how wonderful they all were.

Back in the waiting area, Jackie gave me a cup of tea and all the advice I needed on aftercare

A full 10/10 for this NHS experience

Dear errandns38

Thank you for taking the time to provide a review of your recent cataract operation at the Royal Cornwall Hospital. It was lovely to read you had such a positive experience and I hope you are recovering well following this operation.

Kind regards

Maria
