I recently attended the breast clinic as a two week referral, following the discovery of a lump.
Following a brief examination by a man who I assumed to be the Consultant, I was sent for an ultrasound.
The Consultant who performed the ultrasound was dismissive, stating that he could not see anything.
When I asked what the lump could be, he suggested that there was nothing there.
Good news but I still have a lump, with no idea what it is.
I would have appreciated reassurance but this was not forthcoming.
"Dismissive "
