This is a very impressive, sparklingly clean, modern hi- tech unit. Having had endoscopy in several other hospitals both NHS and private sector over the years, this was the best.

Staff were kind, professional, gave very clear information and checked I was happy at every step. Informed consent wasn’t just a formality, nothing was rushed. I was asked  if I needed anything clarified at any stage. Procedure was very thorough and during it I was told what was happening every step of the way. I got a document at the end detailing what was done and what the results were.

I felt I was treated as an individual and not having something “done to me” but “with me”. Right through from reception, assessment, the procedure itself, then the recovery area, I encountered nothing but thoughtfulness and professionalism.
