We were coming back on foot from an appointment at the vascular department in the Old Building Musgrove, when my partner was struggling walking due to rebandaging appointment.
I left him standing by a wall and clinging to a handrail while I dashed off to get a wheel chair from the reception in Duchess Building. He was clearly in distress and due to this his blood sugar began to drop and he became still more shaky. I returned with the wheelchair to find he had got himself to the onsite shop where he was still clinging to the wall and obviously in some distress.
Not one single member of staff, of which they had been many even stopped to ask if we were okay , or attempted to help him in anyway. This shocked me as the month prior he had taken a fall and straight away four nearby members of staff rushed over and procured a wheel chair for him. Well done for that particular visit, but yesterday's visit was unbelievable that members of staff ignored a shaking , unsteady gentleman, literally clinging on to the walls for dear life! He was unable to really shout for anyone going past as all his energy was taken up with clinging to the wall.
I don't expect any feed back, but thought I would just raise my concerns.
"No help for struggling gentleman"
