(as a relative),

My mum is currently receiving Palliative Care in Medical 1. I cannot speak highly enough of the excellent care she has received in Medical 1. This is a very distressing  time for our family but the care and compassion shown to us has helped to make a very difficult situation a little easier to bear. All members of staff from  Graham the ward clerk to Aoife and April (amongst other nurses and healthcare assistants ) and Dr Kumar and his junior colleagues have been so caring to my mum and us as a family. I will be never forget their kindness.

My name is Donna Hanna and I am the Clinical Services Manager for the Medical Wards in Causeway Hospital.

Thank you for taking the time to post on Care Opinion at this difficult time for you and your family. I am pleased that your Mum is receiving excellent care and that you have found all the staff helpful. As a team we strive to provide compassionate care to patients and support to families when their loved one is receiving palliative care.

I have shared your comments with the the staff in Medical 1. They are pleased to hear that you are happy with the care and would like to thank you for taking time to provide feedback at this distressing time for you and your family.
