"Words alone cannot express the gratitude that I felt to all involved"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / 3 North Ward Craigavon Area Hospital / Emergency Department Craigavon Area Hospital / Frailty Ward (Ramone Ward 1) Craigavon Area Hospital / Intensive Care Unit Northern Ireland Ambulance Service / Emergency ambulance response

(as the patient),

I was diagnosed with Covid, double pneumonia and 2 clots on my heart and was in the care of the Hospital Staff in Craigavon.

I just wanted to show my appreciation to all involved in getting me back on my feet after my serious illness.

Firstly, a personal thanks to the Ambulance who arrived at my home and was able to have me in resuscitation ward in less than half an hour.

A very personal thanks to Dr Reid, who had me diagnosed and on the relevant treatment and breathing equipment within less than 30 minutes of arrival, which I now strongly believe saved my life.

Thanks to all the Doctors, Nurses and Carers in ICU for their care and devotion over the week that I was in their care.

To all the staff in the Covid Recovery Ward who looked after me in such a kind and caring way, I couldn't have asked for better treatment.

A big thanks to all the Staff in the Anticoagulant Clinic in the Ramone Building for their aftercare in relation to the Warfarin dosage.

Words alone cannot express the gratitude that I felt to all involved at Craigavon Area Hospital for looking after me with such devotion and professionalism.

I received the results on the 8th July 2023 from the earlier CT Scan to say that thankfully the clots have disappeared from my heart.

I am forever in your debt.

Kindest regards

Good afternoon BugD1949,

I am grateful to you for taking the time to share your experiences of the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service. It is reassuring to learn that you arrived at the resuscitation ward so promptly and that you are now back on your feet. Feedback such as this lifts the morale of the whole organisation in what is a particularly challenging period.

Best wishes

Neil
