"Your attitude & work ethic really makes a difference"

This was the fourth arthroscopy on my right over a 26-year period, with my last three, including today, being at Cannock Hospital, Hollybank ward.

The experience of all has been great, but today's experience was exceptional from all staff. I would like to make special mention of four who I had most contact with.

First of all and thanks to my consultant, Dr Sinah, who is always friendly & provides reassurance and so far it feels like he has done a great job.

There were three nurses who I saw pre & post op and they were brilliant. It must be so easy to come in and just do the job and go home, but not with these three. They were Lara (Croft - she’ll know why I’ve put that), Katie (Kate) & Ednes (I hope I’ve spelled it correctly). All three were so attentive, funny, caring & understanding in all areas of nursing that they gave me during my one-day stay.

This is not saying other staff were not as good, because all that I came into contact with were great, but I feel these needed special recognition. These nurses are a credit to their, in my view, underpaid profession.
