"Caring and compassionate at every step of the journey"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter required to attend Hairmyres Emergency Department. She was seen swiftly, with several members of staff checking on us regularly to ensure we were OK, even within a very busy department.

Every member of staff we had contact with - from the admin team at reception, triage nurse, ANP Heather and staff nurse Stacey - were caring and compassionate at every step of the journey.

They were clearly very busy but everyone was friendly and supportive and I am grateful for the care and attention received during what was an extremely stressful day.

Dear scorpio81

Thank you for taking the time to share your positive feedback after attending the emergency department with your daughter. I am pleased to read that you felt all the staff were kind and compassionate as it so important to feel cared for during a stressful and worrying time.

It is kind of you to share such lovely feedback and staff will appreciate your comments.

I hope that your daughter is recovering well.

Kind regards and thank you again

Lise
