"Absolutely appalling "

About: Castleford Medical Practice

After being told a few weeks ago on behalf of my relative that she'd still be able to ring up to get her repeats in due to mental health issues upon ringing up today found out that's not the case I'm absolutely sick of all this back turning with this surgery wouldn't recommend them to anyone it's not first time I've had issues on her behalf can never speak to anyone above reception either fed up of them deciding who or what goes. With regards to prescriptions there should still be allowances for those most vulnerable ... But unfortunately this practice does not care about that at all !!

Dear Julie

Thank you for taking the time to review our practice. Unfortunately we had to remove our prescription line for safety reasons, as have all other GP Practices. If patients require a prescription they or their relatives/carers can order at the surgery, via PATCHs, via online access, or via email. Alternatively, we could arrange for the prescription to be sent to the pharmacy automatically each month via electronic repeat dispensing (ERD) and the pharmacy can then arrange delivery if the patient requires. If you had asked to speak with me at the time I would have explained these options to you.
