I was 6 minutes late for my GP appointment (taxi never turned up,so had to call another and being disabled I travel only in taxis). I said to the receptionist I was 6 mins late, and could they let doctor know; they said they would send a message.
I sat in waiting area for 50 mins. The receptionist called me to reception window and told me the doctor couldn't see me. I said I have to see a doctor as my medication had run out, but also needed it possibly increased in dosage as it was not touching my pain. I also needed to see doctor as I had spots/abscesses.
I was told no. I told the receptionist I have no medication left and that I would need antibiotics for the abscess. The receptionist said they would see if they could get the doctor to do the prescriptions. The doctor said no and that they would have to see me. The duty doctor also said no to seeing me.
I am absolutely appalled. I should have been seen and at the very least given a prescription for the abscess and also prescription for medication as I had run out.
So much for "catch cancer quick". I had a cancer scare 18 years ago. I have enough stress to deal with as I am my mothers full-time carer and can do without this behaviour and attitude which I find appalling.
