About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford)

I wanted to leave a review of Exeter Hospital, as I feel that they deserve acknowledgement for the standard of service I received. I was completely blown away by the professional and reassuring staff at the hospital.. who not only put my mind at rest but changed my view of hospitals. After debating for the last six months whether I wanted to go through with surgery and worrying about the level of care that I would receive, all my worries were put to rest from the moment I had my case transferred to Exeter. From the first phone call to arrange an appointment, I was given an email with a link to an app called “my care” which kept me up-to-date, with letters, assessments and records throughout my stay.

On the day of surgery, I was very nervous due to a past bad experience with anaesthesia at Torbay and I can say, without shadow of a doubt, my concerns were heard. I was taken care of and sailed through being put under for the operation and came out the other side, not even realising it was all over.

The after-care was 2nd to none, nothing was too much trouble from the ladies that clean the rooms to the catering staff and the nurses were fantastic. Just what I hospital should be like.

Well done to the team at Exeter and thank you
