"Everyone in this hospital talks so nicely towards you"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / 4 North Surgical Southern Health & Social Care Trust / Urgent Care Centre (Phone First)

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I called the out of hours in Craigavon Area Hospital, and when I did, a kind woman answered the phone and said a doctor would call me back. The doctor didn't like the sound of my symptoms when he called me back, so he told me to head on up to the hospital for testing and an X-ray.

I've received excellent treatment ever since I first arrived at Craigavon Area Hospital. The staff are quite thorough. I was immediately put on a drip since my potassium level was critically low. I've never felt so calm and relieved all because the staff are so good.

Everyone in this hospital talks so nicely towards you. They have excellent communication amongst the team as I like to watch them during the day to see what they do (its very interesting and keeps me entertained).

My own experience has shown that everything has been great.

The meals have been fantastic. Well done CAH.

Good Afternoon,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience of the care you received through Urgent Out of Hours.

We are delighted to hear that your experience has been a positive one. I am pleased to hear that you the staff member whom took your call was kind and kept you informed on what would happen next. It is also great to hear that the GP then reacted promptly to the information you gave, directing you to the appropriate service for the care you needed. We are so privileged to have a job where we can care for people and make a difference.

I will ensure the team are all aware of your kind words - we really appreciate them.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Thank you again and Best Wishes, Patricia.
