My mother, in her eighties, went to A&E at QEUH in August where she received excellent care. She was seen swiftly and quickly admitted to 11B ENT and very well looked after.
Unfortunately from then on she was moved to 11C where the staff were all fabulous but her care by medical staff became frustrating and not the best at all. She was an inpatient for just under 7 days but we as a family do not feel this was at all necessary and used up a precious bed in an over stretched NHS. Medical staff chopped and changed their minds on a daily basis, fasting my mother daily to then change their minds again.
As I say nursing and auxiliary staff were great.
