"The right person for her job"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Dermatology (Skin Conditions)

(as a relative),

As a family we wanted to pass on how amazing Ashleigh - the melanoma specialist nurse is! She has helped my gran so much and also been supportive to my mum and myself during a difficult time. She is 100% the right person for her job, compassionate and kind and nothing is too much bother.

I agree wholeheartedly with these comments. Ashleigh has often been praised by patients who have had help from us,Including those who have now been discharged.

The job description which allows Ashleigh to be a point of contact and support for people whether attending dermatology, surgery or oncology is what we envisaged and requested of the Minister when we pleaded for CNSs 2003.

Sadly some other HBs have not all followed this path.

This is holistic care in action.

Dear izartt66,

Many thanks for taking the time to write such kind words about Ashleigh. This will mean so much to her as I know she takes great care and pride in giving her all for her patients.

I wish your Gran a good recovery and hope that Ashleigh continues to provide such good support to your family.

best wishes

Fiona Whyment
