"Outpatient clinic staff"

About: North Lanarkshire Health & Social Care Partnership

(as a parent/guardian),

I attended an outpatient appointment at Reception A with my daughter today at Wishaw Hospital.

She had to have bloods taken which she is absolutely terrified of and was crying in the waiting room before even being called just at the thought of having to get it done.
The 2 members of staff in the room were absolutely amazing with my girl, they didn't rush her, spoke to her throughout, reassured her and were just genuinely so lovely.
I can't thank them both enough for how at ease they put my daughter and for the first time ever at an appointment she managed to get her bloods done and leave the room without passing out.
Sadly I didn't get their names however I feel staff do not always get the praise they so rightfully deserve and just wanted to share my thanks.

Thank you for getting in touch. I am glad to hear that it all went well and hope this will reassure her if for the future if needed again. I will pass on your thanks to the staff who were working. It is always lovely for us to hear that we have made a positive difference.
