After being told twice by my GP that I may have a UTI and basically that it would clear itself, I progressively got worse.
I had a bit of back pain, then blood in urine and them came the sweats and rigors. Having had sepsis before I knew the signs so I knew I had to call an ambulance.
The staff from ambulance service were absolutely fantastic. They listened to me and my concerns about sepsis and confirmed I was probably correct. They were so understanding and professional but also so down to earth and kept everything lighthearted. I cannot thank them enough.
The staff in A&E were amazing and again treated me with dignity and respect.
When I was moved to AU1 the staff looking after me and could not have done anymore, they were very attentive, caring and compassionate.
I then had 3 days in ward 51 where all the staff were so kind and caring and again could not fault them at all.
I am now at home and wanted to show my appreciation to all the staff who have helped me recover the last 5 days. Thank you
