"A&E visit"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance Victoria Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as a service user),

I was suddenly taken ill in the middle of the night  a few weeks ago.

I was taken by ambulance, blue light to A&E at VHK.

I was very frightened and anxious, the paramedics, the doctors and nurses, and the anaesthetic staff made me feel at ease, took away my worries, and treated me with kindness and respect.

I was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation, and am now well and being followed up by cardiology.

As a nurse myself, I was extra anxious, the care I received was wonderful. This bunch of lovely people went above and beyond that day and I am forever grateful. Xx
