"Outpatients is quick at giving appointments"

About: Outpatients / Ear, nose and throat (ENT)

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I came into outpatients today for my throat appointment. I went to my GP last week and they sent a referral here. I got a phone call not even 24hours later saying about the appointment today. I had to take it, I received a text on Wednesday saying if I did not show that it would cost the NHS £130, I feel the people not showing without a good reason should be charged this not the NHS. Everything has been fine, I got here early to find it and the reception staff were nice and directed me to here. It is easy to find once you know where it is. The department is clean and very neat.

The staff are lovely and very smiley. The staff I have dealt have all been kind and very approachable.

I am delighted to hear that you received a prompt appointment to be seen at an outpatient clinic. Our staff are exceptional and without them we would be unable to provide the high standard of care that we do. I will pass on these comments to them. I wish you well.
