My daughter has been admitted twice now in a two month time scale, and twice neurology department were too busy to come see her! The staff who attended to her were guided by phone calls from neurology, but she was not seen face to face. Possible migraine was diagnosed and medication given, my daughter was to be put on a waiting list to go to an outpatient clinic for headaches, this was not done!
My daughter is still suffering all the same symptoms and is debilitating her normal life.
I feel so frustrated that my daughter is still so unwell with no help from the one department that all other professionals say she needs seen by - the receiving consultant, my GP, the epilepsy team and any other medical personnel I have spoken to.
I feel angry that my daughter’s life is so interrupted by this episode of poor health, with no support from the very people who could help!
I feel worried that something more sinister is going on.
"No support from the very people who could help"
