"Caring and attentive staff"

About: Borders General Hospital / Accident & Emergency Borders General Hospital / Cardiology Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as the patient),

Heart palpitations led to me being admitted to hospital via ambulance. I felt like I was going to die.

My care, from start to finish, was exceptional. From the paramedics (Dawn and her colleague), the A and E staff (Linzi, Jacqui, Harry, Dr Chris, Morag and the porters), the staff on ward 6 (Ewan, Sharon, Robyn and Wendy) to Fiona and Dr Neary in Cardiology - an absolute credit to our NHS.

I would like to say particular thanks to Ewan and Fiona. They were phenomenal in reassuring me things were going to be okay!

Finally, I have coeliac disease and it was never too much hassle to call up to the kitchen to ask them if they could make specific meals for me!

So grateful for our NHS and the amazing, caring, attentive staff in the Borders General Hospital.
