My son broke his collar bone, the wait in A&E to be seen then to get an x-ray took in total just over an hour, which is amazing in my personal experience.
Then the follow up slightly disappointed me when I realised the consultant hadn’t actually checked his X-ray until a week later and I had to chase up an appointment, but then however they managed to get up an appointment the following week which was great!
When we went for the follow up appointment we were informed there was a delay in the department for an hour, which we found was accurate.
Aside from the delays we experienced - which I do not blame on the staff, I blame on how over stretched the NHS can be - they were all very friendly and kind to us and we feel confident in how our son has been treated.
Thank you!
